Disadvantages of cloud computing
Cloud computing is fast on the increase with many companies opting to use this service which can be a great way of saving money and increasing the accessibility of data especially if you have members of staff working remotely or a a number of offices in different locations.
This said, there are some disadvantages of cloud computing and software that you should be aware of especially if you are a small business.
Cloud software relies on an internet connection, so if you have poor connection speeds or unreliable internet connection then you must understand the impact this will have. If your internet is offline so is all your cloud software often making it virtually impossible to run your day to day business tasks.
Security is also often a major concern for cloud software users as any data you store on these systems is accessible from anywhere on the internet. Although cloud software companies state that their security is second to none there has been some recent compromises that suggests otherwise.
