Software for the avid DJ
Many DJ’s have a mass collection of music stored on there laptop or computer and when it many do all their mixing and searching for songs through this type of software.
There are some great free versions of DJ software out there that allow you to DJ like a pro. Long gone are the days when someone could just stick on a mix tape and let it play, people have song requests and expect to hear songs mixed in to each other.
As with any software you may need to try a few different ones to find out which one is most suited to what you want to do. Some of these programs even allow you to link up a tablet or mobile device and control the music through that.
You should bear in mind how many songs you are adding in to the library on these types of software as the more you add the slower the search function will become.
