The Entertainer to launch tablets in store that run off cloud software
The Entertainer are taking a step forward in the online experience that they offer their customers. After a successful trial period last year, they have confirmed that as of June they will be dispatching tablets to staff within their stores.
The tablets are set up to enhance the customer experience by allowing staff to look up items in store, order in store and pay in cash at the tills (if not in stock) and even for staff to track their sales performance. The cloud based software is set up to be able to copy with peak time traffic such as the run up to Christmas which currently accounts for 50% of their turnover.
The new cloud based software will also reduce the paperwork needed for orders not only saving the company money but which is also good for the environment.
Cloud based applications are becoming more and more popular with some of the largest IT companies such as Adobe and Microsoft using them.
